Under the Umbrellas — Exhibition
Summer, 2026
San Diego, California
Under the Umbrellas is my invitation into a world I've been building—one inspired by Mediterranean summers, pastel architecture, seaside afternoons, and the quiet elegance of leisure.
The striped umbrella became the heart of the series. It appears throughout the paintings as a familiar landmark, connecting moments of travel, romance, anticipation, and escape. Around it unfolds a world of vintage Vespas, tennis courts, beach clubs, café terraces, and sunlit horizons, where each scene feels like a memory from a place you can't quite remember visiting.
Rather than documenting a specific destination, these paintings create one. They invite viewers to slow down, imagine the stories unfolding beyond the canvas, and find themselves beneath the shade of the umbrella.

Je Ne Sais Quoi — Exhibition
March 16th, 2026
Beaumont-de-Pertuis, France
Je Ne Sais Quoi was born during a month spent painting in the South of France. Created in the village of Beaumont-de-Pertuis, this collection draws from the sun-soaked landscapes, charming cafés, coastal escapes, and quiet moments that defined my time abroad. Blending colorful Mediterranean scenes with elegant black-and-white works, the series explores the romance, nostalgia, and effortless beauty of French life. Presented in an intimate exhibition, Je Ne Sais Quoi offered a glimpse into a season of adventure, inspiration, and creative discovery.

Playboy: The Show — Opening Night Exhibition
Friday, January 30th, 2026 • 6–9 PM
439 N Fairfax, Los Angeles
Playboy: The Show is a bold, black-and-white exhibition inspired by the seductive sophistication of Playboy’s golden era and the iconic photography of Helmut Newton and Slim Aarons. This collection channels the best of vintage glamour, Old Hollywood elegance, and the unmistakable fantasy of Los Angeles.
Through sensual, cinematic portraiture, Fredo Gillis reimagines a world where confidence, allure, and timeless beauty take center stage. Each painting explores the tension between power and seduction — a visual love letter to an era defined by attitude, style, and unapologetic glamour.
Opening night invites guests into an immersive, fashion-forward gallery experience that blurs the lines between fine art and fantasy. Expect bold imagery, unforgettable atmosphere, and a celebration of art at its sexiest.
Step into the world.
Experience Playboy: The Show.

A Solo Show
This year has taken me from Japan to San Francisco, Miami, Spain, Paris, and New York—always moving, always in transit. What began as short stays often turned into longer journeys, shaping how I see myself and the world around me.
One Way Ticket is my first solo exhibition, a reflection of this year spent in constant motion—traveling, creating, and three years of painting in my journey as an artist. One Way Ticket is on view throughout October at San Diego Made Factory.
📍 San Diego Made, 2031 Commercial St, San Diego
